BYD, in partnership with Jiangsu Andi and Weilede, has reached a strategic cooperation agreement, paving the way for a journey into green RVs with 500 units

On April 20th, BYD CV, Jiangsu Andi (a distributor), and Weilede (a RV company) officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement for RV chassis in Huai’an City, Jiangsu Province. The parties will collaborate to promote 500 units of BYD hybrid RV-specific chassis, jointly promote chassis and whole vehicle business development, and enhance the competitiveness of the new energy RV market.

In this agreement, the first batch of 100 Weilede RVs will be deployed to cultural and tourism spots as well as the rental industry market in Huai’an, contributing to the revitalization and upgrade of Huai’an’s cultural and tourism consumption scenes.

The RV chassis in this cooperation not only inherits the core three-electric technology of the hybrid light truck T5DM but also, based on customized demands, enhances the vehicle weight to 6.5 tons, enabling stronger load-bearing capacity and larger modification space. It is equipped with an 18.3kWh blade battery and a 100L fuel tank, ensuring worry-free power usage. The chassis adopts a “triple armor-style” anti-corrosion solution, and also optimizes the damping characteristics by adjusting the stiffness of shock absorber valve systems, liners, and suspensions, ensuring optimal damping performance for a more stable and safer driving experience. The globally leading BSC braking system is standard, significantly improving response speed and emergency braking performance. Its Euro standard-certified cabin adopts a high-strength chassis and comfortable passenger compartment design paired with a million-ecosystem DiLink large screen, making RV driving easier.

According to the agreement, the three parties will integrate their advantageous resources to jointly promote the electrification of RVs, injecting new vitality into the cultural and tourism market. BYD, with its hybrid light truck T5DM chassis, provides technical advantages and offers RV companies a superior chassis choice, enhancing product competitiveness. Jiangsu Andi, as a representative distributor, will provide rapid and effective communication and services for the cooperative project, playing a bridging role effectively. Weilede will leverage its production base advantages and professional, efficient productivity to complete RV modifications and whole vehicle manufacturing.
